The Student Reports tool allows teachers and organization administrators to take a deep dive into their students' performance on the Piqosity app. Using this tool, you can review student performance at the course level just like you can on the Piqosity Dashboard, but you can also:

  1. View stats by topic, so it's easy to see how your students are doing in particular content areas like "English" in ACT or "Math" in SAT Digital
  2. View stats by date range, so you can see how your students engaged with the app in a particular time frame
  3. Export your students' stats to CSV, so you can manipulate and analyze the data more efficiently

Accessing the Reports Tool

Educators and administrators can access the tool by clicking "Reports" from the navigation bar at any time.

Using the Reports Tool

Summary

The Reports tool has three basic components:

  1. The Saved Reports container, which allows you to view and load reports you have configured in the past
  2. The Report Configuration container, which allows you to specify the data you want to see in your report
  3. The Report Table, which displays data for your students after you click Run

For a full breakdown of this tool's options, see the next section.

Full Breakdown

  1. The collapsible Saved Reports table shows a list of reports you have configured and saved in the past. Clicking the name of a saved report loads a report with the saved settings in the report table.
    • 1a. Give your report a name in the Report Name field. This field is required in order to save a report.
    • 1b. Click the Save Report checkbox to save your report in the Saved Reports table upon clicking RunTo delete a previously saved report, load it in from the Saved Reports table and then uncheck the box.
  2. Course allows you to select which course you want to see data for. You can select one course at a time from among the courses that are attached to your account.
  3. Educator allows organization administrators to specify which teacher(s) they want to see data from. Either specify a teacher from the dropdown, or choose All Educators to see students from all teachers in your organization.
    • For teachers, the Educator dropdown is pre-populated and cannot be changed.
  4. Class allows you to see student data from either a specific Class or All Classes. Organization administrators will see all classes for the selected Course and Educator(s) in the dropdown.
  5. Student allows you to filter by student activity:
    • All Students shows all students regardless of when they last used Piqosity
    • Active Students only shows students who have used Piqosity in the last 90 days
    • Inactive Students only shows students who last used Piqosity more than 90 days ago
  6. Date Range allows you to filter the data to a particular time frame, meaning that only practice completed in the date range you choose will be used to calculate student statistics. Note that some data points, including Goal, Baseline, and PVT, will not change for different date ranges. The options are:
    • All Time
    • Last 30 Days
    • Last Week
    • Custom opens a Date Picker that allows you to choose a custom start and end date
  7. Topics allows you to either specify a Topic (like "Math" or "Verbal Reasoning") from the selected Course that you want to see data for, or choose:
    • All Topics to see overall stats averaged across the course's Topics
    • All Topics Disaggregated to see stats from All Topics in the report table, and see stats for each individual topic in the course in the downloadable CSV (item 10)
      • For example, choosing this option for ACT will result in a downloadable CSV that shows not only overall stats for the ACT course, but also stats for the English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science topics individually.
    • Note: Topics without scores, such as "Overview and Strategies," will not appear in the Topics dropdown
  8. Columns allows you to select the data points you want to see stats for in the report table and CSV. The available options are as follows:
    • Score is calculated based on the last 100 questions answered in a Topic
    • Goal is determined by the student's selected Goal Score from PVT setup
    • Gain is the difference between the student's Score and Baseline
    • Baseline is the student's initial score, calculated based on the first 25 questions they answered in a Topic
    • Questions is the number of questions the student has attempted
    • Pace indicates how quickly, on average, the student works through practice. Pace values over 100% mean the student is working too quickly, and values below 100% mean the student is working too slowly.
    • Seconds/Question is the average amount of time the student takes to answer each question
    • Accuracy is the student's overall accuracy for attempted questions
    • Difficulty is the average difficulty of the student's attempted questions
    • PVT is the student's percentage of completed modules in the Piqosity Virtual Tutor
    • Duration is the amount of time (in HH:MM:SS format) that the student has spent working practice problems
    • Last Active is the last time the student completed practice

    • 8a. Your selected Columns appear in the report table at the bottom of the page, with individual student data populating the rows. Note that a maximum of 10 columns will display in the report table; any additional columns, along with Topic-specific columns when selecting All Topics Disaggregated, will only be visible in the downloadable CSV.

  9. When you are ready to generate your report, click Run; this will populate the report table at the bottom of the page. To clear all report selections and start over, click Reset.
    • Note: If your report includes more than 100 students, only the first 100 students will load upon clicking "Run." You can click the "Load More" button at the bottom page to load another group of 100 students until your report is complete.
  10. Click Download CSV to export a CSV file based on your current report selections
    • Note: If your report includes more than 100 students, you will receive the CSV file at the email address associated with your account.
  11. Click any column header in the report table to sort student data by that column
  12. Use the Search box to find specific student(s) by name in the report table.
