The Educator Leaderboard ranks the top 25% of active tutors and teachers for each course according to the total points they have accrued from their students and contributions:
Total scores for educators consist of two parts added together:
- Points from contributions
- Points from attached students
For points from contributions, educators earn:
- 100 points for each answer explanation they contribute
- 100 points for each question they contribute
- 500 points for each lesson they contribute (future)
For points from students, educators earn:
- The average of points across all of their valid/ active students (sum of n student points / n students)
- Multiplied by 1.1 for each active student they have linked on Piqosity
For example, if a tutor had 8 valid students with an average of 100 points each, they would earn 180 points (100 x 1.80). If a tutor had 12 students with an average of 100 points each, they would earn 220 points (100 x 2.2).
Ranked Educators are further divided into three groups denoted by colored badges:
- Gold - Top 5% of active users in the course
- Silver - Top 10% of active users in the course
- Bronze - Top 25% of active users in the course
The Leaderboard also ranks students.
